Did Jesus Raise From the Dead?

Yes. The Bible tells us that Jesus died—He really died—and remained dead for 3 days. On the third day, He came back to life, defeating sin and the ultimate consequence of sin--death--once and for all (1 Corinthians 15:3-5). The Bible also tells us that many people saw Jesus after He was raised from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:6). Many Christians call this act of coming back from death the Resurrection.

Why is this important? The act of Jesus coming back to life (the Resurrection) is what paved the way for us to have a relationship with God and live in freedom from sin and death (John 11:25-26). It assures us that death does not have the final word. Because He lives, we too shall live.
